Case Stories
"My 11yr old mini dachshund has been yelping the last couple weeks when I pick her up or when she jumps off the couch. I asked TIFF if she could have a look at her.
After one session she doesn't seem to have any pain any more and is zooming around like a puppy. I haven't seen her move like this in a long time. Pretty impressive." - Chuck Walker, Buena WA, 1/3/16 |
"When I started having hip pain I thought I was going to have to deal with it the rest of my life.
I tried the chiropractor, but that seemed to only make it worse. I was dealing with pain that made it uncomfortable to do normal everyday things, a friend of mine told me that Tiffany Fewel did a different type of healing method called feldenkrais and that it might make my hip feel better. I decided to give it a try, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. After just seeing her a couple of times I could already tell there was a difference, and now I am relatively pain free and able to do what ever physical activity I want to. Her method is so gentle that anyone of any age could see her. She is very passionate about what she does and want to make you feel better. I can’t thank her enough for what she has done for me." - Taylor Sealock, Toppenish WA |
"4 months ago today I had my ACL repaired. Doc laughed when I said hunting season is coming, to which he replied "better do lots of physical therapy".
Well after 3 weeks of physical therapy I couldn't take there methods any more and found an alternative method which is called "Feldenkrais" and noticed a huge difference after the first session which was done over the phone. After 8 sessions via Skype and FaceTime my knee is not 100%, but it was 100% ready to chase elk!! Thanks Tiffany Fewel for the Feldy" - Jason North, Oct 25, 2015 on FB |
DEZ
Tony came to me feeling like he had run out of alternatives to help his horse Dez. Dez could hardly move and it was difficult to trim his feet because he was so stiff and couldn’t bend his knees or stand on three legs for the farrier to work on him. Tony’s dream was to ride Dez again, but at the very least he wanted to give his horse a better quality of life. We took a holistic approach that incorporated both Feldenkrais and homeopathy, and Tony was able to realize his dream. He is again riding Dez, who is now a happy, healthy horse. |

Ultimate Make Over
Flyboy was found in great pain at the feedlot where he was saved from slaughter. He was adapted by the folks at Cherry Wood Bed Breakfast and Barn, and then given love and respect during his recuperation in the gentle hands of Tiffany, which has allowed him to be once again the happy horse he once was. |

Injured Roping Horse
Blacky had been a top athlete, competing in team and calf roping events until injuries side-lined him. His owners tried various treatments, but nothing helped. Finally, Blacky was sold to a feedlot where he would have been shipped to slaughter in Canada, if he hadn’t been too crippled to be loaded on the trailer. Tiffany began working with him after he was saved by Cherry Wood Bed Breakfast and Barn and brought into their horse rehabilitation program. Years of rigorous, repetitive roping from the same side had left the horse weak in the hind end and so stiff he was unable to bend or even look to the right. It took approximately 10 session to help him overcome his mobility issues and to become more free and balanced – both physically and mentally. Today the horse is healthy and strong. He belongs to one of Cherry Wood’s wranglers who uses him for wine rides and ranch work. |

Mule with Chronic Lameness
Another Cherry Wood save, Pendleton was so lame when Tiffany first saw him she wasn’t sure he would be able manage the trailer ride to his new home. But somehow he made it, and as soon as he was settled in at Cherry Wood, Tiffany went to work, helping to increase his mobility, improve circulation and overcome his pain. It took months, but a few sessions, along with the supportive hoof care of farrier Milt Patterson, finally returned Pendleton to soundness. He is now one of Cherry Wood’s most reliable mounts. |
Arthritis Sufferer and Horsewoman
“After one knee replacement surgery, I was determined to find some way to keep from having my other knee done. Just a single session with Tiffany and I knew I had found the answer. Not only was my pain relieved, I felt more balanced and secure in how I used my body. Even my husband noticed the change and said that I was walking like a young girl again. Now when I begin to slip back into old patterns, he reminds me that it’s time to for another Tiffany session. Thank you Tiffany for giving me some of my youth back and making it fun to ride my horse again.” - Patti Hudson |
Malnourished Doberman Puppy
Porter and three other litter mates were found huddled and starving in a ditch where they had been dumped. All were suffering the effects of starvation and abuse, but Porter was by far the worse off. He was so weak and his legs so splayed, he could barely walk. Short, frequent sessions with Tiffany and good supportive care, brought significant improvements and within a month, Porter was ready for adoption. Today he is happy and healthy with a loving family and a forever home. |
